Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is understood to hold no interest in buying Liverpool which was put up for sale recently by the owners Fenway Sports Group.
The American billionaire was one of the names linked with the Anfield giants as FSG looks to pocket a sizable valuation for their club following their massive rise in the past decade both on and off the pitch.
According to a claim from Los Angeles Times ( via The Daily Mirror), Ballmer, who NBA outfit Los Angeles Clippers, is reportedly content with his current sporting portfolio and is not keen on launching a bid for Liverpool.
Ballmer bowing out of the race is expected to put the spotlight back on the Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani who has been credited with an interest in buying the Reds despite recent reports suggesting otherwise.
Liverpool’s new owners would be tasked with providing ample funds to the manager Jurgen Klopp who seeks to overhaul his squad in the coming transfer windows after an underwhelming start to the campaign this time out.
