Marco Silva’s Craven Cottage side have announced Williams’ arrival on loan running until the end of the season with Liverpool parting ways with another first-team fringe player on deadline day after Nat Phillips’ exit.
Phillips has made the move to Williams’ erstwhile suitors Bournemouth who have snapped up the 24-year-old central defender in a short-term loan agreement that will conclude at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Liverpool on their part made a major splash in the transfer market by landing the much coveted signing of FC Porto star forward Luis Diaz with the Columbia international making the move to Merseyside in a big-money deal.
