Fulham’s Fabio Carvalho move to Liverpool has been approved by Tony Khan

The Portuguese teenager has recently agreed to join Liverpool on a pre-contract agreement from Fulham for a deal worth up to £5m, including £2.7m add-ons.

The Merseyside have already started to move their club up a gear despite having a tremendous bunch of players in the squad at the right age.

Fulham won the Championship title recently and has earned a ticket back to the Premier League following an incredible season.

However, after agreeing to a deal with Liverpool earlier this month, Tony Khan, the Cottagers’ chairman, has wished Carvalho success in his interview with the Atheltic.

“I really like Fabio. He’s a player we have always rated, coming out of the academy and we would have loved to have kept him.

“But we have made a deal that is best for the club and since that agreement, it’s worked out wonderfully because he has been such a valuable part of a promotion.”

Marco has done a great job with him. They have a great relationship and Fabio has been tremendous for us. He’s a huge part of the squad and it’s a massive loss but, because we have done good business, we can do good business to make sure we are strong in that position.”

Carvalho has played 35 games in the English second division under Marco Silva’s guidance and has a goal contribution of 18, which is fairly impressive for a player of his age.

Though bringing in the 19-year-old from a Championship club has secured their future, it also indicates that the club will have more glory days in the future.

The Portugal under-21 international will be soon holding the shirt at Anfield as the youngster will be a massive part of Liverpool’s future.
