Galatasaray’s vice president, Erden Timur, has reportedly engaged in discussions with Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara in England. Timur has made a “very good offer” to the Spanish international, and the midfielder has shown interest and welcomed the proposal from Galatasaray.
According to SportWitness, the vice-president of Galatasaray has not only engaged in talks with Alcantara but has also discussed with Liverpool the conditions required to sign the former Barcelona player during this transfer window.
However, the response from Liverpool is not completely appropriate. It is worth noting that Thiago resumed pre-season training with the Reds on Saturday.
Since joining Liverpool in 2020, the veteran star has faced numerous injury setbacks, limiting him to just 18 league appearances last season.
Galatasaray, aiming to strengthen their midfield, is seeking to sign Thiago, whose contract with Liverpool runs until 2024. Galatasaray’s vice president, Timur, has reportedly made multiple trips to England in recent weeks, conducting various transfer operations.

During his latest visit, he presented a “very good offer” to Thiago, and the Spanish midfielder has shown a positive response to the proposal from Galatasaray.
Liverpool are yet to make a definitive decision on the future of the midfielder, despite previous reports suggesting he could be sold along with other players.
The club remains uncertain about further strengthening their midfield, despite the recent signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
The potential move for Romeo Lavia is dependent on outgoings, as his price tag presents a challenge. Liverpool may need to assess the futures of players like Thiago in order to recoup some funds this summer.

Thiago has rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia, indicating his desire to remain at Anfield. However, Liverpool would likely accept a reasonable bid if it were to come in, as it would free up significant wages and allow the club to pursue other transfer targets, such as Lavia.
While Thiago could continue his career in one of the top five European leagues, Galatasaray have emerged as an appealing option if other opportunities do not arise.
