Championship side Swansea City remain the frontrunners in the race to secure the signing of Liverpool FC attacker Harry Wilson till Friday’s deadline day of the mini-domestic transfer window reports the Mirror.
The 23-year old Wilson has been tipped to seal a move away from Anfield this summer, however, only on a loan basis after failing to make Jurgen Klopp’s 24-man squad for the UEFA Champions League campaign.
Wilson failed to sign for a number of clubs interested in him this summer on a permanent basis and look set to stay at the Merseyside outfit at least till the next summer, but for now, both Klopp and Liverpool FC are hoping to offload the Welsh international in a season-long loan deal.
Steve Cooper’s Swansea City are speculated to be Wilson’s preferred choice of playing destination after earlier reports confirmed that the Reds were on the hunt for a suitable Championship side for Wilson’s playing time this season.
The Swans are reported to be in constant touch with the top brass of the Liverpool FC management as they seek to add further attacking reinforcements to their first-team squad with the aim of securing promotion to the Premier League for the 2021-22 season of top-flight football.
