It has been revealed that Harry Wilson has not traveled with his Liverpool FC teammates to the club’s pre-season training base in Austria due to an injury.
The Welsh international had been one of the most notable absentees during Jurgen Klopp’s men taking part in group training drills at their Saalfelden camp. Wilson had been due to report back to training after spending the 2019-20 season on loan at AFC Bournemouth.
However, the 22-year old attacker not being in attendance with his club teammates in Austria left many people wondering over his current transfer situation. Wilson had been speculated to leave the Reds this summer after a spree of loan spells in recent seasons. Leeds United are rumored to be a suitor for the player’s signature following their promotion to the Premier League this season.
Reports suggest that Jurgen Klopp is still willing to give him a chance to impress him ahead of next season. Despite a rather mediocre spell at Bournemouth during last campaign, Wilson remains a talented player kept in high regard by the German coach.
Moreover, he remains keen on playing for Liverpool FC after failing to force his way into Klopp’s plans in earlier seasons. The Welsh attacker can present himself to be a handy squad-rotation option for the Reds boss, however, will have to fend off competition from Xherdan Shaqiri and Takumi Minamino.
