As the year-end award season for 2020 begins to ramp up, the recently announced FIFA FIFPro Men’s World11 shortlist features as many as eight of the Liverpool FC stars, including the likes of Mohammad Salah and Jordan Henderson.
Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have all bagged nominations in the 55-man shortlist for the top honour awarded by FIFA, according to reports from Liverpool FC’s official website.
Barring Thiago Alcantara, whose first half of 2020 in the Bayern Munich colours commenced with treble-winning glory prior to the Spaniard sealing a move to Anfield, the rest of the seven Merseyside Red first-teamers feature in the list largely due to their showings in the 2019-20 season resulting in Jurgen Klopp’s side achieving the Premier League crown after a gap of 30 years.

The final XI will consist of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfield players, and three forwards, with the final spot in the eleven going to to the outfield player garnering the highest number of votes.
