In-demand Liverpool midfielder to extend stay, claims the player’s agent

The agent of Liverpool FC’s returning loanee Marko Grujic has revealed that the club desires to retain the services of the midfielder beyond this summer’s transfer window.

Fali Ramadani, a big name in world football, and whose other clients include the likes of Real Madrid star Luca Jovic and Croatian international Ante Rebic, stated that Jurgen Klopp has been left impressed by the development in Grujic as a player since his return from a season-long loan spell at Hertha Berlin.

Ramadani added that the Reds will keep hold of the Serbian international heading into the 2020-21 season, however, the club’s stance on the player could change in January next year, when the winter transfer window reopens.

“Liverpool want to keep him. That may change in January at the earliest.”

Such a major turn in events concerning Grujic’s future at Anfield is bound to cause confusion among the Reds’ faithful. The 24-year old had been one amongst a few first-team players who had been tipped to seal an exit from the club this summer.

Grujic’s former side Hertha Berlin, along with Borussia Monchengladbach, had approached Liverpool FC over the midfielder’s availability on a permanent basis, however, had been informed of Klopp’s £20 million asking price for the Serbian.
