Injury Updates For Liverpool Players and Return Dates | April 2024

Liverpool’s  Trent, Alexander-Arnold, as well as the goalkeeper Alisson, and Diogo Jota are currently intending to come back from the squad to face Atalanta this week.

According to Jurgen Klopp the most valuable players who are coming back after injuries are on the way to recovery and that is very good news from the point of view of squad composition.

Alexander-Arnold whose place on the team squad is currently under deliberation while he is training is likely to play in the weekend fixtures. Klopp talked about how he was very energetic in motivating players to come back after injuries. 

“I always find it hard to get these guys to fit in,” he summarized.

“Considering the quality, it should be pretty easy to use them as intended and we plan to incorporate them in the nearest future.”

What is the update regarding the injuries of the players at Liverpool?

Alisson, according to Klopp, is doing individual exercises with goalkeeping coaches of Liverpool. 

At Klopp’s interview recently, he admitted to not being aware of Alisson’s fitness condition. However, he assured Alisson has been doing fine in recovery. 

“And he’s probably due to be back from his hamstring injury sooner than we thought,” Klopp concluded.

If all goes well, Alisson may return to the team in the fixtures in the upcoming weeks.

Diogo Jota, the Portuguese forward, is likely to play in the next fixtures of Liverpool as he had been carrying a knee injury for about two months.

Klopp went into the details of how Jota has worked through the recovery process.

He said, “Obviously, a process of recovery was not taken in a rush.”

” The boys did a lot of self training, especially Diogo and Trent who have already trained together for two or three weeks. They looked really good on training I would not deny this.”, Klopp added.

With Jota just coming back to full-fledged training, there is still a possibility that Klopp could end up giving him the weekend’s match if, by the time the game kicks off, Jota has fully recovered and feels ready to go.

Eventually, the club is about to experience an important stage of the season with vital players almost regaining their fitness, consequently making the team more potent towards the end of the campaign.

As far as the situations, it is expected that few of the players will be back in action by next week. The physios of Liverpool are trying their best to make sure that the players are in good shape before the crucial matches.
