Liverpool FC target Ismail Sarr has fueled speculation about his transfer status this summer by revealing that he would love an opportunity to play for the Merseyside giants. The Watford attacker has been rumored to be on Jurgen Klopp’s shortlist ahead of the Reds’ title defense next season.
The 22-year old Sarr, in a recent interview, voiced his fondness for the Liverpool FC side that enjoyed a superb 2019-20 league campaign and won the Premier League title after a gap of 30 years. Jurgen Klopp’s men have been rampant over the course of last season, however, had fallen to a shock 3-0 defeat to Watford in February. That game at the Vicarage Road had seen Sarr score twice in quick succession before assisting Troy Deeney for the third to inflict a humiliating loss on the Reds.
‘Liverpool are a really great team, everyone would love to play there.’
‘They won the Premier League this year and the Champions League last year. But also there are great teams in the English league.
The Senegalese international added that if he were to make a move elsewhere from the Hornets, the Anfield giants would be among his preferred options. The Reds have considering making a move for the 22-year old winger as an effort to bring in a quality backup for Sadio Mane and Mohammad Salah.
‘Frankly, I have yet to make a choice. If that were to happen, I just wish they were a good team. At the moment, there are only guesses.’
Crystal Palace is the other side rumored to have expressed interest in signing the Watford man this summer. The Eagles are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements ahead of next season, with Sarr being labeled as a potential candidate to step inf for the looming exit of Wilfried Zaha.
