Out of favour central defender Joe Gomez is reportedly in line to demand an exit from the Liverpool fold come the summer transfer window.
Gomez has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield over the course of the season with Jurgen Klopp having a third choice centre-back option in his last summer’s signing Ibrahima Konate.
The England international is being forced to rethink his options ahead of the coming summer with the likes of Aston Villa, Leicester, Tottenham, Newcastle and West Ham United credited with an interest in landing the Liverpool man.
A report from 90min has claimed that the former Charlton man, who has his sights on securing a berth in the England ranks for the forthcoming World Cup, is hopeful of Liverpool giving the nod to him heading out the exit door.
It remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp would be keen on allowing Gomez to seek a new destination with the Liverpool manager unable to fit the English defender into his first-team plans for the campaign.
