Jurgen Klopp has revealed that the midfield pairing of Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara will be due some minutes on the pitch for Liverpool in their final pre-season friendly fixture on Monday.
The Merseyside giants are set to square up against Spanish outfit Osasuna in what will draw curtains on their pre-season camp following which they face the league’s new boys Norwich City this upcoming weekend on the opening day of the campaign.

Skipper Jordan Henderson, whose future continues to attract much speculation since his contract talks suffered a breakdown earlier this summer, was given some extra days off after his Euros commitments with the England fold.
Thiago Alcantara too had staged a recent return to the Liverpool camp with the former Bayern Munich man also having featured in this summer’s European Championships with his country.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Klopp sounded out his plans of giving some minutes on the pitch to both Henderson and Thiago with the duo looking sharp in training, according to the Liverpool boss.
“Yeah, that’s the plan [for them to get minutes on Monday].
“They trained both this morning and they will have a few minutes tomorrow night for sure – or I hope, at least.
“They look good in training but of course their pre-season starts now pretty much so that’s a bit later than the others.
“So we have to consider that, but yeah, tomorrow we will see them.”
