Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson and star full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold have made the cut for the 30-man England provisional squad announced by Gareth Southgate ahead of the UEFA Euros this summer.
Much speculation had been on Southgate selecting Arnold following his drop from the Three Lions fold earlier this year for the international break but with the 22-year-old displaying a superb zeal of form in the backend of this past season, Southgate has given the nod for his selection.
Jordan Henderson too had been the subject of much rumour-mongering over his presence in the England side amid the Reds captain’s groin injury which has kept him out of action since February.
But recent reports had indicated that the England gaffer Southgate was keen on including the 30-year-old Henderson in his squad considering his vast influence whilst turning out in the centre of the park.
Ahead of naming his final #EURO2020 squad next week, Gareth Southgate has selected 33 players to join up with the #ThreeLions from this weekend as our preparations for this summer's tournament get under way.

No other Liverpool faces are there in the squad announced by Southgate as Joe Gomez remains an injury absentee until the start of the new season and the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones not warranting a callup taking into account their performances at the club level.
