Skipper Jordan Henderson has signed a new long-term contract at Anfield which will see the 31-year-old commit his future in the Liverpool shirt until the summer of 2025.
Reports from Liverpool’s official website confirm that the England international has put pen to paper on the contract extension which was much awaited by the club supporters since speculation began earlier this summer.

The talks between the Liverpool board and Henderson’s representatives had gotten underway following the conclusion of this summer’s UEFA European Championships where the player was a member of The Three Lions camp.
There had been the speculation of a shocking breakdown in the negotiations with some reports even suggesting that Henderson could be on his way out of Anfield ahead of the start of the 2021-22 campaign with the likes of PSG and Juventus keeping close tabs on him.
Jurgen Klopp, however, had asserted that he was pushing for Henderson to sign extended terms this summer with the club as the midfielder remains key to the plans of the Liverpool boss.
