Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that his current job with the Premier League giants could be the last and final chapter in his managerial career.
The Reds were in tatters when Jurgen Klopp took over back in October 2015 but the German boss has worked his magic on the club and guided them back to the summit of English football where they belong. Last season, Liverpool finished in second place just one point behind eventual champions Manchester City but accumulated 97 points which were the most ever since the club was formed back in 1892.
However, it was not all doom and gloom for the Anfield faithful as Liverpool did manage to win the Champions League title and bring in back to Merseyside for the sixth time in the clubs illustrious history. Klopp was in his native earlier his week to collect an award for coach of the year from a local newspaper but offered some devastating news in an interview after the award ceremony.
Klopp has always honored his contracts with whichever club he has been at, it may be Mainz, Dortmund or his current deal with Liverpool which expires in the summer of 2022. He was then asked what his plans are now that he has won the Champions League and the charismatic coach may have stunned a few listeners as he said in a light-hearted manner, “I hope to continue like this, but in two, three years I don’t know what may happen. Maybe I’ll retire! It doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen, however, but if that were the case, you wouldn’t be surprised.”
