There is no need to rush the integration of Liverpool FC’s three summer signings into the first-team squad, insists Jurgen Klopp speaking ahead of Arsenal’s visit to Anfield on Monday.
The Reds marked a relatively major transfer window as compared to previous summers, signing the trio of Kostas Tsimikas, Thiago Alcantara, and Diogo Jota, with the latter duo arriving at Anfield within a day of each other.
There is no doubt that Liverpool FC supporters are longing to see their club’s newest recruits shine on the pitch, however, Klopp urged the Merseyside outfit’s fanbase to have patience as a proper procedure will be followed to ensure all three of the new signings make a lasting impact with their on-the-field showings in the Reds’ shirt.
“The three new players – don’t forget Kostas – came in a team which worked pretty well before. So there’s no rush, there’s no need that we say, ‘OK, if you don’t play tomorrow then we have no chance, absolutely no chance.’
“That’s absolutely good because that takes all the hectic out as much as we can. That’s something we really like – that we can bring them in the right moment, in the right situations.
All three players have, nevertheless, got their first taste of involvement for Liverpool FC in recent weeks, with Thiago making his debut in the 2-0 victory over Chelsea, and the pair of Tsimikas and Jota playing in the Reds’ EFL Cup win against Lincoln City last week.
