Roberto Firmino is confirmed to be right in the mix to feature come Saturday at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC outfit play hosts to Arsenal in the high-billed Premier League clash.
Reports from the club’s official website confirm that the Brazil international who has missing in action of late has returned to the first-team fold at Anfield just ahead of the weekend showdown on Merseyside.
Jurgen Klopp in his pre-match press conference revealed that Firmino was the sole player out of a host of injury absentees for the Reds who had trained with the team on Friday.
“Bobby is back, all the others not,” Klopp said.
The Liverpool FC boss deflected any further questioning into the possible return of the likes of Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, with the focus being on the aforementioned names being fit enough to partake in this summer’s UEFA Euros.
“I have no idea about the Euros, to be honest.
“Nothing changed, they are all in the place they should be at the moment. That’s it. The rest, the time will show. I don’t know it, I don’t want to take a player away from Holland or England – if they are ready they are ready and if they are not ready I cannot change that. In the moment, they are in the rehab process, so it’s not about me to make the decision.
“I only deliver the news when I have it and I don’t have any in the moment; no bad news, no brilliant news, they cannot play tomorrow, so that’s the situation.”
