Jurgen Klopp has issued a warning to Liverpool’s title rivals by saying that the Reds are still well short in terms of their “best performance”. Klopp’s men have started the season in amazing form being only one of three teams to have a 100% record in the league. Liverpool so far have defeated West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Leicester conceding just a one goal in the process.
Despite the brilliant start, Jurgen Klopp has been found brooding in his press conferences upon the fact that how the Reds weren’t great. His words are understandable as Liverpool have failed to dominate any match except the game against West Ham.
Liverpool finished 25 points behind Guardiola’s Man City in the previous season . However, the common consensus is that Liverpool can mount a serious title challenge after plugging all their evident holes in the transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp has insisted that the players aren’t at the top of their games but it is normal. He seemed to be sure that their game will improve as the season goes on.
“Everybody should know we have a lot of work to do still, but if they don’t then I have told them. When you win four times it sounds really crazy to say this, but it is still part of the pre-season for a very long time after the summer.” This is what Klopp had to say when quizzed about the state of his players.
Liverpool have all the weapons in their armory now. They have seemed to shore up the defence with the signing of Alisson and the emergence of Joe Gomez. Gomez has been a revelation so far, earning a national call-up in the process. With Klopp at the helm, Liverpool have built a strong squad to fight on all fronts.
