Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that Manchester City’s possible signing of Erling Haaland will raise the standard in the transfer market.
According to reports from the transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Erling Haaland is on the move to Man City and the deal is expected to be announced soon.

The Norwegian international is slated to depart Borussia Dortmund this summer and has been linked with a number of major European clubs, including Liverpool.
According to reports on Monday, City is poised to sign Haaland because they are prepared to meet the striker’s £67 million release clause in his Dortmund contract.
Many would consider that a cheap price for the 21-year-old superstar, given his pedigree and potential.
According to reports, Haaland’s contract might end up costing approximately £250 million when commissions and salaries are paid to the player throughout the duration of his contract.
Klopp just signed a new deal with Liverpool, indicating that the Reds would continue to be City’s major rivals for trophies in the coming years, both domestically and internationally.
The Merseyside manager stated he’s ready to fight when it comes to preventing City, although admitting that Haaland’s possible signing will strengthen Liverpool’s major rivals in his interview with Sky Sports.
“I signed a new contract knowing City will not stop developing,” the German told Sky Sports. “It’s not about City to define if we can be happy or not. It’s about us and what we can make of it.
“You have so many opportunities and so many different ways to win a football game. We have to find just one. It’s possible obviously and you can do that – you face City in two, three competitions, Champions League – six times a year, more often than all the rest!
“We play against all the other teams, yes. But if Erling Haaland goes there (City) that will not weaken them. Definitely not.
“I know in the moment that other people talk about money, but this transfer will set new levels. Let me say this!”
With three games remaining in the Premier League season, City leads Liverpool by three points. With a win over Aston Villa on Tuesday, Liverpool can put pressure on Pep Guardiola’s team, while City travels to Wolverhampton Wanderers the following day.
City and Liverpool have already named themselves as the best in class for the past couple of years and with the Mancunians adding a powerful profile to their side, the clash between the two giants will bring more liveliness to the top flight.
