The lack of vacancies in the Liverpool first-team camp is claimed to be a major deterrent to Jurgen Klopp’s desire to sign his long-term transfer target Florian Neuhaus from Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Neuhaus was linked with a move to Anfield in the ongoing summer transfer window with the Germany international midfield player presenting himself to be a viable replacement for Gini Wijnaldum who has since his Liverpool exit signed for Paris Saint-Germain.
Wijnaldum’s departure has left Klopp with a major void to fill in the centre of the park for the Merseyside giants who will hope to renew their title-winning credentials in the forthcoming campaign which gets underway next month.
SPORT1’s Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Liverpool are unlikely to bring in Neuhaus as their fresh blood on Merseyside this summer despite Klopp’s strong interest in signing the 24-year-old Bundesliga talent.
❗️News #Neuhaus: It is likely that he will stay in Gladbach. #Klopp has recently reaffirmed his interest in him, is a big fan. FN has been informed about this. But there is currently no place in the Reds' squad. Cards could be reshuffled 2022. For #FCBayern as well. @SPORT1 #LFC

A move for the summer window of 2022, however, is not ruled out by according to the above report with Bayern Munich too backed to be in the mix to lure Neuhaus away from Mönchengladbach.
