Jurgen Klopp has ruled out any more new signing at Liverpool this summer with the German dismissing the recent talk of further business activity by dipping into the market.
Speculation of late had linked Liverpool with a move for Sporting Lisbon midfield man Matheus Nunes despite earlier suggestions by Klopp that he was not looking to add to his three new signings from the summer transfer window.
The Liverpool head coach has asserted, while speaking to Sky Sports, that he does not see the need to add to his ranks further unless there were any injury concerns or notable departures from the squad.
“Unless we have injuries or player sales no, we have our squad. Hopefully, there won’t be any so Liverpool supporters can focus on other things.”
Liverpool have brought in the young full-back Calvin Ramsay for a £6.5 million fee from Scottish outfit Aberdeen and attacking talent Fabio Carvalho from Fulham for an undisclosed fee ahead of the start of the new season.
Besides Ramsay and Carvalho, Liverpool’s third and most prized capture has been that of Darwin Nunez with the 22-year-old Urugyuan striker making the move to Anfield in an £85 million transfer from Benfica.
