Juventus are linked with a shock swoop for Liverpool forward Divock Origi should the Italians part ways with Alvaro Morata in the winter transfer window.
Morata has emerged as a surprise name on the shopping list for Barcelona ahead of the January window and there is speculation that Juventus will eye up reinforcements in the market for the final third.
According to reports from the Italian news publication La Gazzetta dello Sport (via The Evening Standard), it is claimed that the Serie A heavyweights are in line to open talks with Liverpool for Origi’s signature.
The Belgian is amongst the names scouted by the club alongside that of South American duo Mauro Icardi and Edinson Cavani with the latter rumoured to be nearing his exit from the Old Trafford fold sooner rather than later.
Origi’s deal with Liverpool is due to expire at the end of the season but it is understood that the Merseyside giants have the option to extend his stay by another year despite other clubs keeping close tabs on his contract situition.
