Liverpool is expected to implant some changes to its squad during the summer transfer window, however, top signings have been elusive across Europe.
Kylian Mbappe’s transfer from Paris Saint Germain to Real Madrid has just been completed recently, but because it was long expected it did not have that kind of surprise effect.
The ongoing European Championship has many top players tied up and the scheduled Copa America will start in the US next Friday.
Perhaps, there could be more transfer whenever nations are eliminated in these tournaments. The main area of focus for Liverpool in this summer transfer window is the need for a center-back.
The last one connected with Anfield is Dean Huijsen, a talent from the Juventus team.
Playing for the Spanish youth team, Huijsen was born in the Netherlands an has only been with Juventus since October, and toward the end of last season was loaned to AS Roma.
Liverpool have been linked with interest in signing the 19-year-old, according to Mirko Di Natale, the Tutto Juve reporter who reported on X, claiming that the Reds have ‘asked for information’.
It is also at the request of Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United but the later is interested in retaining him. Yet, the cost of £25 million might not be enough to make the Italians change their mind and sell the club.

Huijsen is undeniably skilled, at the same time, Liverpool may require an experienced soccer player willing to set off the campaign. As the Reds reach the Champions League, a new signing will require match time which the current squad cannot provide.
Liverpool’s head coach is Arne Slot and he is currently out of the country enjoying his vacation.
While there are reports of background operations, there have not been so many that involved high profile transfers.
It is important not to put pressure on Liverpool to have an instant turnaround in their transfers, they will take their time.
Currently, the most pressing concern for the club is the need for another center-back. Huijsen may turn out to be a good match for Liverpool but he lacks the expertise necessary for immediate success.
Tuttosport stated two weeks ago that Liverpool approached AC Monza for signing a new goalkeeper, namely Michele Di Gregorio.
