Sir Kenny Dalglish, an icon among the Liverpool FC fanbase, has termed Jordan Henderson as one of the greatest players to have captained the Reds. The praise for Henderson comes shortly after Liverpool FC were crowned the 2019-20 Premier League champions following Manchester City FC’s defeat at Stamford Bridge.
It was Dalglish who had signed Henderson when the former was appointed the Liverpool FC manager in 2011. The legendary Scot stated that he had signed the current Reds skipper back then due to his fantastic potential as a player. Henderson had moved to Liverpool FC from his boyhood side Sunderland and soon became an important player for the Reds.
Dalglish voiced praise for Henderson, who becomes the first Liverpool FC captain in history to win both the Premier League and the Club World Cup. Moreover, the 29-year old Henderson also captained the Reds to UEFA Champions League glory last season.

The Reds ended their 30-year wait for Premier League glory on Thursday night. The Merseyside club had narrowly missed out on the league title on a couple of occasions. However, the 2019-20 season has seen Jurgen Klopp’s side becoming one of the most dangerous teams to face in Europe.
King Kenny, as Dalglish is affectionately called by the Reds supporters, also heaped praise on Jurgen Klopp. The former Liverpool FC player and manager labelled Klopp to be the perfect fit for the Merseyside club. Dalglish expressed his admiration for the true commitment shown towards Liverpool FC by the German coach since he was hired in 2015.
It was Dalglish who had the distinction of being the last Liverpool FC manager to win the league title before Klopp. The Scott had managed the Liverpool FC side to league title glory in 1990. Since then, the Reds faithful had been waiting patiently for more domestic success, however, were heartbroken on having missed out on a few occasions.
