Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has heaped praise on German head coach Jurgen Klopp hailing him as the best manager in the world.
The Senegalese forward was one of Klopp’s first signings when he arrived at the helm at Liverpool back in October 2015 and Mane was brought in at Anfield from Southampton in the following summer transfer window.
We all know that Mane was a great forward during his time with the south coast club but Klopp has taken the 27-year-old to the next level and the duo have won the Champions League this summer. Mane is constantly improving and is currently the top scorer for Liverpool this season, much of that is due to the guidance of Jurgen Klopp and the winger has explained how the German has helped him evolve.
While speaking to the official Monthly Magazine at Liverpool, Mane was full of praise for the 52-year-old Klopp stating that he is the best manager in the world, “I would struggle to describe just how successful he has been for Liverpool. Everybody can see what he has done for this club, for this city and the quality he has as a manager. There are a lot of good managers in Europe but what I can say is that our manager always has the right words and the right things to manage his team, especially knowing how to deal with his team. I would always trust his influence on the team. He is a winner and I would say he is the best in the world.”
Mane has scored 70 goals for Liverpool across all competitions and also notched up 27 assists in the process in 140 appearances for the Merseyside club. He is also on the shortlist of the 30 nominees to win the Ballon d’Or this season.
