Jurgen Klopp in his press conference said that his Liverpool side is far from its peak. Klopp is not 100% satisfied with his side despite their 100% record. Liverpool breezed past West Ham on the opening day with a 4-0 win. The defence looked solid and the attack looked very sharp and fluid.
The Merseyside giants then travelled to London to face a resilient Crystal Palace side. Selhurst Park is one of the most intimidating stadiums to visit but Liverpool were solid and battered them down to keep their winning start.
Klopp however, wishes to see more from his side. With the inclusion of Fabinho in the side in the next few weeks, Liverpool could reach a new level altogether. Fabinho could play the role that Wijnaldum is currently playing in the side. He could also replace James Milner in the squad.
Henderson is also reaching full fitness after going deep into the World Cup with England. Henderson and Fabinho will both be in contention to start against Brighton. One player who is sure to miss out is Dejan Lovren. Lovren finished second in the World Cup with Croatia. However, has been suffering with a pelvic issue since the day he returned to Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp stressed on the fact that his side needs to be prepared to face any type of side as they plan to fight on four fronts. Liverpool lost to Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League last season when no-one predicted them to do so at the beginning of the season. The German boss has since made 3 significant signings and will be looking to bring some trophies back home at the end of the season.
Liverpool are building to win their first Premier League trophy and Klopp has had his time to build the squad around his philosophy. He has reached the final of both the Europa and Champions League but has failed to win either. He has shown great promise and now has a very talented squad. No trophies at the end of this season would be a big loss in the boards and the fans eyes.
