Klopp Warns Rivals About Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has fired a warning to Premier League and European rivals by insisting that the Reds are “not the finished article” just yet and can still get better.

The Merseyside giants were 25 points clear of 2nd placed Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, having played one game more, when the season was halted due to the coronavirus outbreak in the UK..

If the 2019-20 season can be completed, then Liverpool appears certain to claim their first top-flight title in three decades and add to their substantial recent success under the charismatic Jurgen Klopp.

After losing the 2017-18 Champions League final against Real Madrid, Liverpool lifted the trophy for the sixth time last year by beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the final at the Spanish capital, before winning both the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup later in 2019.

The 52-year-old Klopp however, insists that there is room for improvement in a team that has lost only twice in the Premier League since the beginning of last year (2019).

The Liverpool boss spoke to Sky Sports and said that Liverpool will not change their style of play despite other clubs improving, “We will not change, that’s the first thing, but whether we will be successful depends on what other clubs are doing as well because they have all the chance to improve things, do things better.

Klopp further added by stating that this Liverpool team is not the finished article just yet and there is plenty of scope for improvement, “So, I have no clue what the future will hold for us. But we will not change. This team is not the finished article, and we have a lot of space for improvement, and we work on that. We have fresh blood internally coming through. We can improve with this team, which is great.”
