La Liga side Real Sociedad have entered the fray for Liverpool FC outcast Divock Origi amid reports of the Merseyside club wanting to offload the fringe first-teamer in the summer.
Origi has failed to grab minutes of late for Jurgen Klopp’s outfit and despite the reigning champions struggling in domestic action, the Belgian forward has been forced to watch from the sidelines rather than play a part in the hopes of a turnaround at Anfield.
Reports from Spanish publication El Gol Digital claim that Sociedad’s interest in Origi is compounded by the possibility of the La Liga club losing their attacking talisman Alexander Isak in the mid-year transfer window.
The 25-year-old Origi’s long-term future in the Reds shirt looks all but over as the likes of Diogo Jota and Takumi Minamino race ahead of the Belgian in the pecking order, with the latter showcasing a rich vein of form since going to Southampton on a short-term loan deal in January.
Liverpool FC are understood to be wanting a €15 million fee to part ways with Origi amid fellow top-flight sides Newcastle United and Aston Villa also registering their interest in the former Lille man.
