Liverpool FC will be unable to call upon the services of the ever-reliant Trent Alexander Arnold for the upcoming month as the English full-back is set to be sidelined for up to four weeks with a calf injury.
Arnold had to be brought off the pitch at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday during the Reds’ 1-1 draw going up against Manchester City. In his post-game address, Klopp had confirmed that the full-back will be certain to miss England’s upcoming fixture list in the UEFA Nations League as club football takes a short break for the time being.
The latest reports from Onefootball, however, state that the 22-year-old defender’s latest calf issue will keep him out of the first-team action in the Liverpool FC shirt for the forthcoming weeks.
His injury could not have come at a worse time for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who are already reeling in the long-term loss of Virgil van Dijk to an ACL injury, coupled with a number of injury troubles for Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara, and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain since the start of the 2020-21 season.
