Leeds United have registered their interest in signing rumoured Liverpool target Matheus Nunes who has been linked with a move to Merseyside in recent weeks.
Despite speculation growing that Jurgen Klopp’s Reds remain keen on moving in for the 23-year-old midfielder Nunes in the near future, a deal to land him in this summer’s window looks out of the question, going by Klopp’s recent comments on the transfer front.
According to Portuguese news outlet Record (via Sport Witness), Liverpool could be pipped to their transfer target by Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United who have enquired about Nunes’ price tag with the Elland Road camp mulling over making an approach.
Nunes has courted serious attention from the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea besides Liverpool over the course of this summer following the midfielder impressing the European heavyweights with his showings for Sporting Lisbon.
Liverpool, however, are tipped to be keeping close tabs on Borussia Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham ahead of opening official channels of communication to try and land the English midfielder next year.
