Ligue 1 giants Monaco emerge the favourites to sign Takumi Minamino this summer with the Liverpool attacker set to head out the exit door at Anfield.
Minamino’s lack of regular time since his move to Liverpool has been well documented and with the summer window now in full swing, it is tipped that the Japan international wants a change of scenery.
Liverpool have brought in 22-year-old dangerman Darwin Nunez as a replacement for the soon-to-be outgoing Sadio Mane and the transfer sounded out that Minamnio could be on his way out too with clubs across Europe keeping close tabs on him.
According to a report from The Daily Mirror, it is claimed that French outfit Monaco are leading the race, also contested by the likes of Leeds United, Lyon and Atalanta, to land the former RB Salzburg attacking midfielder in a £17 million deal.
Minamino is suggested to be keen on the idea of joining Monaco rather than his other suitors in the market with the 27-year-old’s advisor in Europe to strike an agreement on the transfer away from the Premier League.
