18-year-old Rennes forward Jeremy Doku could be on the move to Anfield next summer, with Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp wanting to shore up his attacking options with the addition of a prized young talent.
Doku has made his mark in the Ligue 1 in spite of his tender age, merely a year following his switch to France from Belgian outfit Anderlecht in a deal worth £20 million.
Reports from the Daily Star suggest that Doku had previously snubbed interest from the Merseyside Reds despite having made a visit to the Melwood training complex besides meeting Jurgen Klopp and then Liverpool FC youth coach Steven Gerrard.
However, the promising young talent made the decision of sealing a move to Rennes, where he has impressed with a run of great form in front of the goal.
With Divock Origi’s future at Anfield beyond next summer looking highly unlikely in the light of his recent showings, Klopp may be induced to part ways with the Belgian international to make way for Doku to sign for the Reds in a long-term deal.
