Liverpool 2-1 AFC Bournemouth: 3 Possible Lessons from the Liverpool 2-1 Win

Liverpool returned to winning ways as action continued in the Premier League at the weekend. This time they played host to Eddie Howe’s AFC  Bournemouth as three points were at stake between the two parties (Liverpool and Bournemouth).

While facing each other three goals were scored as the Reds managed to seal a 2-1 win at home. Following the Liverpool slim win (2-1) over the cherries at Anfield, we take a look at the possible lessons we learned from the tie.

THREE POINTS FOR LIVERPOOL

The Anfield side may have exonerated themselves with this score line from the match following strings of poor result in recent weeks. This is true as they claimed a 2-1 win over Eddie Howe’s men at home. Jurgen Klopp would be delighted with the result and maybe with the 3 (three) points as the case may be. This is very crucial for them as
they need confidence ahead of the next few games.

This should help them to seal the League title without further permutations based on mathematical ground. This was relatively achieved as they came from a goal down (0-1) to seal a 2-1 home win for Jurgen Klopp.

AFRICAN PAIR (DELIVERS) LIFTS LIVERPOOL

The duo of Senegal’s Sadio Mane and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah was at it again as the Liverpool side recorded another vital victory at home. This was a key one ahead of the coming games as they came from a goal down to beat the visiting Bournemouth side.

They were 0-1 down in the early minutes of the match but the response came from the 2 (two) super stars as they rallied Liverpool back into a 2-1 lead in the contest with Firmino missing chance at some point in the match.

CHERRIES DESERVES CREDIT

The away side may have lost 2-1 to Jurgen Klopp’s side in the Premier League but their efforts and contributions cannot be downplayed as we’ve seen in the match.

This got them to take the early lead from the run of play as Callum Wilson scored in the ninth (9th) minutes to give his side an advantage.

This may have awakened the Lion in Liverpool as they scored twice in the space of 8 minutes. This saw them regain the lead even as Nathaniel Ake struck the bar while also displaying his side’s credentials in the contest.
