Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side have lost their match with Spanish side Atletico Madrid as it finished 2-4 on aggregate. Not many saw this coming as a couple of people believed in Liverpool’s ability to turn the tie against Diego Simone’s men especially as they played at Anfield.
The match only proved that the Reds are only humans after all. They crash out of the Europa League competition despite Firmino’s goal which made it 2-0 in favour of Liverpool in extra-time.
In the end, Diego Simeone’s men triumphed as they marched on to face quarter-final foe PSG (Paris Saint German) who have got Neymar Jnr and Kylian Mbappe leading the lines for them (PSG) in attack.

It was a terrific match as the result says a lot about Liverpool’s potential in the season. They may have been gunning for the treble but with defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup their season aspiration was narrowed down to two titles.
