Liverpool marked a fantastic return to winning ways over the weekend with Jurgen Klopp’s men shipping four goals past Arsenal at Anfield.

The hosts enjoyed a confident start on the attacking front but were kept on the back foot by Arsenal shot-stopper Aaron Ramsdale who has been in terrific form of late.

Ramsdale kept his side in the contest rather single-handedly with tremendous ability between the sticks as the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were denied in quick succession by the goalkeeper.

A heated exchange on the touchline between the two managers Klopp and Arteta led to the pair being shown yellow cards and that was the fire Liverpool needed to get the breakthrough.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exquisite delivery into the box was headed past the in-form Ramsdale by Sadio Mane and the hosts took a well-earned lead into the break.

Minutes after the restart it was Diogo Jota who made the most of Arsenal’s lapse of judgement at the back to double the advantage for his side with a composed combination of footwork and finishing.

A brilliant link-up play in the final third led to Sadio Mane square the ball for his strike partner Mohamed Salah to bundle the ball into the back of the net.

Substitute Takumi Minamino got into the action too as the Japan international was at the right place at the right time to make it 4-0 from another Alexander-Arnold cross.
