Liverpool recorded their biggest-ever win over Manchester United as Jurgen Klopp’s men picked up a 7-0 victory against the Red Devils in Sunday’s Anfield showdown.

It was a nervy start to the derby clash on either end of the pitch with both goalkeepers called into action to keep their side in the running.
Bruno Fernandes nodded wide before his midfield partner Casemiro had a goal disallowed after the Brazilian was adjudged to be offside in the build up.
Liverpool broke the deadlock and it was Andy Robertson’s brilliant threaded pass that found Cody Gakpo who was lethal in his finishing to find the far bottom corner and give his team the lead before heading into the break.
The home side took just 88 seconds after the interval to double their lead with Darwin Nunez heading from close range after Harvey Elliott had put in a teasing delivery.
Liverpool’s third goal of the game came again through Gakpo who executed a clever finish from Mohamed Salah’s sublime pass which had the United defence caught in no man’s land.
Robertson and Konate each went close to finding the fourth goal for Liverpool before Salah thundered a strike into the back of the net and Nunez soon made it five with another header.
Salah bagged a brace, his second goal of the game making him Liverpool’s record goalscorer in the Premier League ahead of Robbie Fowler and Roberto Firmino came off the bench to score the seventh for Jurgen Klopp’s men to cap off an amazing performance on home turf against their arch-rivals.
