Rumours surfacing of late suggesting Borussia Dortmund are open to parting ways with the highly-rated American international Gio Reyna has put Liverpool FC on alert to the youngster’s transfer situation.
Dortmund’s uninspiring form this season has cast fears that Edin Terzic’s side could potentially miss out on securing Champions League football for the 2021-22 campaign and hence a number of first-team regulars in the German club’s camp are set to take the exit door out of the Signal Iduna Park.
According to claims from the Daily Mail, Gio Reyna finds his name amongst those of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Guerreiro, with the former also believed to be on the radar of Jurgen Klopp’s side heading into the summer, as players who are likely to be offloaded in the near future by the Bundesliga outfit in order to avoid a cash crunch.
Reyna’s breakthrough in the Dortmund ranks has been termed quite impressive and a host of top clubs across Europe are sure to engage in a widely-contested battle to land the teenage midfielder’s signing and the Merseyside Reds are one amongst them looking to secure the arrival of the American international at Anfield.
