Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp not keen on a reunion with Philippe Coutinho

Liverpool have reportedly closed the door on a possible reunion with former playmaking talent Philippe Coutinho with the Brazillian’s exit from FC Barcelona imminent this summer.

Coutinho joined the Catalan giants from the Anfield camp in January 2018 but has failed to replicate his Liverpool success at Camp Nou which has given rise to speculation that the player may be finally offloaded ahead of the next season’s start.

FC Barcelona’s financial woes are forcing the club to get rid of their deadwood to lighten the wage bill and Coutinho may be leading the line of players who will be shipped out by Ronald Koeman in the ongoing transfer window.

Amid recent talk of Liverpool positioning themselves as suitors to land the signature of the former Anfield fan-favourite, reports from Sport have suggested that Jurgen Klopp is not in the running to give his approval for the same.

The Merseysiders look well-stocked in the attacking department heading into the upcoming campaign and with Divock Origi also set to stay put beyond the summer, there might not be a space for Coutinho after all at his old club.
