The Premier League champions sought to promote the launch of their brand-new away colors through a series of posts across their social media accounts. First-team stars Curtis Jones and Sadio Mane are seen sporting the kit with the caption branded as ‘Boss it every away day’.
The newly launched teal-colored jersey is believed to be inspired by the culture linked with the city of Liverpool. The iconic Liver Bird and the ever-majestic sight of the Shankly Gates at Anfield, that pay homage to club legend Bill Shankly, have also been cited as catalysts behind the kit’s artistry.
According to the club’s website, the textured print design found on the teal-shaded kit pays homage to the musical history so often associated with Liverpool. The Merseyside city is the home of the Beatles, one of the most legendary music bands of all time, besides also being a starting point for numerous other artists in the industry.
The Reds skipper Jordan Henderson voiced his fondness for the new away colors of the Merseyside giants, with the 30-year old stating that he was a ‘massive fan’ of the new design.
“I really love the design and how it has been influenced by the city and specific aspects of the club. I can’t wait to get back out there and play in it next season.”
