Liverpool and Real Madrid remain the only teams in the fray for Aurelien Tchouameni with the Frenchman set to make a decision on his future soon.
Tchouameni, who has been one of the standout figures for Ligue 1 giants AC Monaco, is a highly sought after name in this summer’s transfer window with some of Europe’s biggest clubs credited with an interest in his services.
Despite speculation rife that it was Chelsea who are leading the race to land the midfielder’s signature come the summer, it is now reported that the Champions League finalists Liverpool and Real Madrid are the two sides left in the running.
According to French news outlet RMC Sport, the Monaco maestro Tchouameni is close to joining either Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders or Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid following the two heavyweights meeting in Paris for the Champions League final.
Liverpool lock horns with the Spanish champions for the biggest prize in European club football in the hopes of clinching a third trophy under Klopp’s charge this season after success in the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
