Liverpool are preparing a shocking €90 million offer for Federico Valverde

Liverpool are reportedly preparing a shocking €90 million offer to secure the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde as stated by Spanish outlet El Nacional.

The report suggests that the Uruguayan star could leave Madrid following the arrival of Jude Bellingham and contract extensions for Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

Liverpool’s potential €90m offer for Valverde would present a challenging decision for Real Madrid to refuse, particularly considering the potential funds that could be used for the pursuit of Kylian Mbappe.

While it may make sense from Madrid’s perspective, it seems unlikely that Liverpool, under the ownership of FSG, would spend such a significant amount on a player.

Admittedly, Valverde possesses the attributes that would suit Jurgen Klopp’s desired style of play for a number eight midfielder. Additionally, the Reds should be looking to sign multiple midfielders this summer, although they have only made one signing thus far.

Whether this speculation stems solely from the Spanish media or holds more substance is uncertain. As a Liverpool supporter, it’s important not to get carried away with unrealistic expectations.

While it would be fantastic to see Valverde join Anfield, it appears to be a wish that may not come true, which is surprising considering Liverpool’s status as one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Regardless of the outcome of this particular story, our hope is that Klopp and his team are actively working behind the scenes to make necessary additions to the squad before the next season commences.

We cannot afford to endure another disappointing season. It is frustrating how long it took to sign a world-class midfielder, and it is crucial to recognize that we need more than just Alexis Mac Allister in the midfield.

Any new additions in that area should be of a world-class calibre. It’s time to stop being frugal in the transfer windows.
