Liverpool are the frontrunners to sign Chelsea playmaker Mason Mount this summer with the England international mulling over his future at Stamford Bridge.
Mount’s contract talks have continued to stall with the Blues and uncertainity is growing over his decision to stay put or leave at the end of the season with top Premier League sides keeping tabs on the situation.
The 24-year-0ld is eager to have his current £80,000 a week wage, which he is earning since he first broke into the senior team under Frank Lampard’s charge in 2019, tripled to be at par with teammate Reece James and Chelsea’s new signings.
According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that Chelsea are set to test Mount’s loyalty ‘to the limit’ while Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool remain the prime contenders to land the player’s signature should he head out the exit door.
Manchester City and Manchester United are also in the mix for the Blues star who has found himself out of Graham Potter’s plans of late with the Chelsea manager opting for January recruits Enzo Fernandez and Joao Felix.
