Liverpool backed as the frontrunners to sign Belgian starlet Jeremy Doku

Liverpool have been given the backing as the frontrunners to sign Belgian starlet Jeremy Doku in the next summer’s transfer window from Rennes.

The 19-year-old Doku has his stock increase rapidly following his exploits in the Ligue 1 with Rennes which earned the teenager rave reviews and a call up to the Belgium national team fold at the age of just 17.

Speculation is rife that Rennes will be forced to part ways with the highly-promising Doku next summer should a sizable offer come their way from some of the big clubs credited with an interest in making a swoop for the forward.

Liverpool, who have been tipped to be in the race to land Doku’s signature sooner rather than later, are backed as the frontrunners by journalist Alexandre Braeckman, with the rumours doing the rounds that Jurgen Klopp’s camp are ‘ best placed’ to sign the Rennes starlet.

The Anfield camp have been keeping tabs on attacking names in the transfer market as Jurgen Klopp remains keen on adding to his underwhelming depth in the forward roles in the forthcoming transfer windows.
