Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp rushed to the defence of his star forward Mohamed Salah following accusations of selfishness against the Reds talisman.
Salah has been a top performer for Klopp at Anfield this season and on the back of his explosive form in the final third with 19 goals in as many games for the Merseyside giants.
But despite his impressive numbers out there on the pitch, the 29-year-old Egyptian has faced criticism for being selfish with his teammates with pundits Gary Neville and Arsene Wenger highlighting Salah’s greed for goals.
Salah, however, was defended by Jurgen Klopp who spoke in his pre-match presser ahead of Liverpool taking on Wolves in the weekend action in the Premier League.
The German coach argued that Salah has “developed technically” in recent times and is now more of a complete package going forward for Liverpool who have had to depend upon the Egypt international for large parts on the attacking front.
“Salah was never criticised for being too selfish by us.
“What helps a lot is experience so you know what to do in situations and areas of the pitch. What helps is Mo has the experience, not lost the greed to score but developed technically. He sees others in better areas.”
