Liverpool bow out of the race to sign the in-demand Declan Rice

Liverpool have reportedly bowed out of the race to sign the in-demand Declan Rice and will not be joining rival clubs in what is a big-money contest for the midfielder’s signature.

The England international is being chased by the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City with Rice, on the back of his stellar displays in the West Ham United shirt, having his future subject to much talk.

Jurgen Klopp’s Merseyside giants, however, are pulling the plug on any potential talks with West Ham for Rice despite Klopp’s huge admiration for the midfield maestro’s ability out there on the pitch.

According to a report from Football Insider, it is claimed that the price tag slapped on Rice’s head by The Hammers coupled with the player’s wage demands has put Liverpool off from tabling a formal bid for the 23-year-old.

Klopp, meanwhile, continues to remain on the hunt for reinforcements in the centre of the park with the futures of both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner under intense speculation heading into this coming summer.
