Liverpool claimed to be interested in signing Brighton’s Yves Bissouma

TalkSport pundit Alex Crook has claimed that Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp is monitoring the availability of Brighton midfield star Yves Bissouma ahead of the forthcoming winter transfer window.

The 24-year-old Bissouma has been a critical performer for the Seagulls since his move to the Amex and was in full flow during his side’s 1-1 draw against the Reds last Saturday.

Liverpool FC’s midfield department is well-stocked but the future of certain players such as Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and the ageing James Milner could tempt Klopp to shell out a sizable fee to bring a player of Bissouma’s talents to Anfield in the near future.

As a series of long-term injuries continue to curtail Chamberlain’s time on the pitch, speculation indicates that the Merseyside Reds would be keen on adding a new face to the first-team ranks at Anfield.

However, TalkSport reports suggest that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are also interested in singing the Brighton man in the January transfer window as the Gunners seek to fortify their creative options in the squad.
