Liverpool are tipped to be the clear frontrunners to land the signature of Calvin Ramsay with the Aberdeen full-back closing in on a Premier League move this summer.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had been credited with a strong interest in signing the 18-year-old defensive talent following Ramsay earning rave reviews for his stellar run of displays in Scotland’s top flight last season.
According to a report from Football Insider, it is claimed that Liverpool have pipped Leeds United in the race for Ramsay with the Merseyside heavyweights hoping to wrap up the negotiations with Aberdeen in the coming weeks.
Aberdeen are suggested to be willing to cash in on their in-demand first-teamer Ramsay this summer to raise funds and have given the green light to the player’s suitors in the transfer market for opening talks with the full-back.
Liverpool’s links with Ramsay comes at a time when there is speculation doing the rounds that Fulham are keen on making a permanent approach for Reds loanee Neco Williams and extending his stay at Craven Cottage.
