Reports from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato claim that despite Inter wanting to retain their first-team star regular, financial difficulties at the Serie A giants could force them to accept a reasonable offer coming their way from Anfield this summer.
The 24-year-old Italy international found the back of the net thrice and registered seven assists across his 36 top-flight outings last season for an Inter Milan side that clinched domestic glory after a ten-year barren run.
