Liverpool FC have confirmed the signing of Preston North End first-teamer Ben Davies on a long-term contract, according to reports from the club’s official website.
Davies’ capture by the Merseyside giants, which had gone through in the final hours of Monday’s deadline day, was given much importance by Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp as the German coach sought to bolster his injury-hit backline at Anfield.
The 25-year-old Davies had been a star turn for Preston North End in recent years and had been honoured with Preston’s 2019 Player of the Year courtesy of his applaudable form at the heart of the defence for the Championship outfit.

He will sport the No.28 jersey at Liverpool FC, as confirmed by the Premier League holders in a statement that followed the reports of Davies’ move to Anfield being announced upon the close of the January transfer window.
The signing of Davies by Klopp’s side was supplemented later in the day by another incoming on Merseyside as Ozan Kabak’s signing in a loan deal was confirmed by Liverpool FC.
