Liverpool considering a summer move for Anderlecht goalkeeper Bart Vebruggen

Liverpool are considering a summer swoop for Anderlecht goalkeeper Bart Vebruggen which could see Caoimhin Kelleher heading out the exit door.

Kelleher has served as an able deputy to the first choice Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson Becker and the former’s heroics in the FA Cup win over Chelsea last season earned him much praise from the Anfield faithful.

According to a report from The Sun, it is claimed that 20-year-old Vebruggen is of interest to the Liverpool camp following his impressive breakthrough at Anderlecht where he has quickly become the new No 1.

The Reds view him to be a long-term successor to Alisson and have placed Vebruggen on their shopping list for the summer when Jurgen Klopp is expected to address the faulty areas of his squad and a new goalkeeper could feature in his plans.

It is said that the Reds are resigned to losing Kelleher in the summer with the Irishman likely to move on in search of regular game time which has been hard to come his way as Alisson has cemented his starting credentials.
